Obviously there is a scam, but what is it?

Do they turn up and chargeback the credit card?

Do they issue a cheque for more than the value, and receive a bank transfer of the value back?

Has anyone actually humoured these fake enquiries, to see where they're headed?

And yet another, from OD of course, but with different dates from Jacob Otley, who - how amazing - signs himself Chris. Can't remember his own name?

Any of the above! I wonder if there isn't some way we could turn this around. Create some silly scam and send it out to all of these scam email addresses. Perhaps eventually they'd all end up trying to scam each other?
