Agencies and other headaches, keys and cleaners, running costs and contracts...in short, all the things we spend so much of our time doing behind the scenes.<br>

Hi
We don't have the problem in France but we do in our home in the UK.
I found a simple solution of dropping one of the toilet cleaner and calcium blocks straight into the top of the loo instead of the bowl where they are designed to be used.
Leave for an hour or better overnight and then flush.
Leave the toilet again and it also cleans the bowl.
I do this once a week and have not had problems since.
To make it quite clear these aren't the long lasting toilet blocks but the one use toilet cleaners and make sure you get the ones that state "anti calc" "no scrubbing" etc.

Just be careful putting things like that into cisterns as the rubber parts can degrade. One of my developments of flats has an issue with people doing this and it brings in some welcome extra revenue changing out the rubber parts.
