Post scam emails to warn other rental owners, or if you are not sure if an enquiry is genuine, put it up here and see what others think.

Just had a text from this chap who calls himself Thomas Livingston. Wanted to book with no specific dates.
Text quickly followed by an e mail from Home Away, or so I thought. Click here it said and I did.
I became suspicious, phoned HA and sure enough it was a phishing exercise. Very genuine looking.
Suspicions raised as I could not find this in my inbox.
Security now all changed and I have a number to quote from HA.
Or, I believe it to be HA.
Paranoid now.
If you can keep your head when all around you are panicking.......you have probably not seen the whole picture.

I got the same text and straight away googled the email. It shows up connected to an eBay scam last year.
Blocked it.
As long as you didn't enter any details from a direct link from the email you should be fine.
