Terms and conditions regarding dogs

While we accept dogs in the summer, when we can keep a closer eye on them (or more, the owners...), we've stopped accepting them in winter after guests said, 'No, no, of course we won't leave our dogs alone while we go skiing,' and we had to listen to them pining in the gite for a whole week, wondering whether they were causing any damage.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, we're making an exception with someone who's just booked, who has assured us that the dogs are never left alone because Mamie and Papie don't ski. I'm therefore adding something into our terms and conditions, but how would you say 'it is the owner's responisbility to clean up after their dog' politely in French?

Anyone have a set of French t&cs with this in? Usual translation methods have drawn a blank...
