Hurricane Irma

Post by petemcveigh »

Fingers crossed for all the Florida owners as Hurricane Irma shapes up to be one of the worst for many years, and also spare a thought please for all those in Texas/ Louisiana who have been impacted by Harvey.

I arrived on Weds with my son so I'm in our home, it's a scary situation

I'm hoping it will lessen in power when it hits land. It's due in my area after midnight tonight.

All of my deck furniture is in my garage and scattered in my living room so it can't be a flying missile

I'm as prepared as i can be and will bee sleeping in our closet tonight as it's in the middle of the house with no windows and there's a bathroom right next door

Yes indeed. Puts everything into perspective when you see what mother nature can do. Fingers crossed for you.

We are ok. It was a horrible night. There was a tornado warning as well which made things worse.

My son and I slept in mycloset which was in the middle of the house wuith no windows.

Can't see any damage to the villa and all I have seen is that my new tree had snapped a branch

My pool screen is ok and I fully expected that to lose panels so we've been lucky

Spare a thought for those, or with property, on St. Martin and the other leeward islands whose properties have been decimated.
