I've kept mum for weeks while our French and UK LMHers struggle with their wet summer... never fun and I have lots of sympathy. (Bit embarrassed to admit that it's been glorious here.)
But enough is enough. Time to complain: it's HOT today. And tomorrow. 31!
Fortunately, it's supposed to cool off again on Saturday and be normal (26) on Monday.
The silver lining is that the doctors are going to induce my daughter tomorrow because they are worried about her and this nasty heat. Tomorrow I should be grammak.
Hope all my fellow Iberians are staying cool!
Beijinhos,

35 degrees?!? You poor folk. Never get a break, do you?
I just realized that if I look out my window I can see Fil's rental apartment. In fact, I can see it from every window in our home.
How's that for thread creep? My thread, my creep.

Deb, fabulous to hear that we can expect some good weather when we roll down to glorious Lisboa later this month Better not speak too soon, I spose, or the thunder clouds might follow us down....
Good luck to you (and your daughter) for tomorrow ...will be thinking of you! _________________ R is a velocity measure defined as a reasonable speed of travel consistent with health, mental wellbeing and not being more than say five minutes late. Me too Deb - and I know tomorrow you'll be phoning the States and goodness knows where else, but don't forget your friends on LMH and if you can type coherently, let us know the good news. Hope all goes well. XX _________________ http://www.facebook.com/Gascony.Magic?ref=ts

Pity I was not there yesterday or I would have waved. Do you have Binoculars ? I might ask you to control guests from time to time
I really hope all goes well with your daughter and grandaughter and will be expecting for news. |

Hurrah, Enid!
We have some nice guests due to arrive today so I'm glad that at least their holiday will kick off well. And you on-site peeps can put your lawnmowers away for a bit. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/Gascony.Magic?ref=ts

Yes, you may well ask - the lady who booked was delightful - but with reason, as we say 'no pets', but she managed to sweet-talk me into allowing her to bring her 'well behaved dog' (the ubiquitous one!) - even wooed me by sending a photo of her.
So the test will be two weeks today! _________________ http://www.facebook.com/Gascony.Magic?ref=ts
