| Just wondering how others in self catering houses manage the toilet tissue issue (i.e. supply)? |

| Thanks Marks! Fascinating reading! I shall spell it out in my correspondence but of course the message may still not be read. |

I calculate one loo roll per couple per two days.
So for a couple staying 10 days I would leave 5 rolls,
and probably an extra one for luck! |

Mouse - When you say "Continous Supply" I'm getting images of giant rolls on the bathroom wall or a waterwheel size roll outside the house feeding through the letter box.

Just 3-sheets per person in Bournemouth and only allowed to to use the loo once a day - "guests pah who'd 'ave 'em 'eh" _________________ www.bournemouthselfcatering.com
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not so sure. |

I do have large holders for spare loo roll but I also put replacements up on the mid week clean and leave a few extra in the under-sink cupboard (if they care to look).
I could wax lyrical about the psychology of loo roll useage...never fails to amaze me how some use to much, and others so little.

Same here: Two rolls per loo when they arrive and after that they buy their own - it is SELF CATERING.
If we do B&B I check the supply and replenish as necessary every day - making sure there is always a roll 'in use' and a spare.

It should be straightforward to get a final answer to this old question. I'll bet there's a Government department - probably called something like OfBog - that has studied toilet paper usage in both sexes (although you wouldn't be allowed to discriminate) and has defined the statutory requirement.
Then all we'd need is the official statement from OfTowel and we could halve the number of posts on LMH at a stroke! _________________ Our Facebook page

ha ha, I see the loo rolls as an income stream. I get the guests started with 2 per loo & at the end of the week I remove the 20 or so they have bought.
So I now have a cellar full of loo rolls, in every pack there's say 8 new ones. If they were unopened I'd have put them on evil bay.
I also have about 10 bottles of ketchup I am slowly working my way through. Theres only so many fish finger sandwiches one can eat don't you know!! |

Gardenboy you sound just like my old Dad! Ok, so I shall supply enough to begin generously, then mention it a few times in my emails of preparedness as well as T & C and I will be covered! Thanks all for the chatter - most informative!
On another topic, just had my expected Xmas guest group (large number) leader ask if he can have a pre-visit of the property to help him plan his time there. Yikes - I live a long way away! Told him he was welcome to look from outside and if it worked out would let him know when a family member was there to show him around. Any one else run into this? |

Mozzie, I've had two potential guests asked to see the apartment. On both occasions I offered a time when I would be there for a changeover or something.
One took up my offer, the other never came back to me.
But I don't live on a different continent!
P.s. Are we going to see your place? |
