Greetings / Good Morning etc.

Post scam emails to warn other rental owners, or if you are not sure if an enquiry is genuine, put it up here and see what others think.

What's wrong with Dear xxx or even Hi.
I do wonder as I reply to good morning etc is it a scam or not.
What is the most common form of address to an enquiry.
On saying that my agency who manage my long term tenancies has just started sending emails with good morning.

It is not unusual, for me anyway, for overnight enquiries to start Good Morning. I guess the assumption is they are enquiring late in the evening and assume you won't read it until the next day.
Some guests just need a sympathetic pat. On the head. With a hammer.

I have to say that a fairly chunky quota of scam emails reported on this page begin with "Hello dear" usually followed by "my name is (*insert improbable name here*" Most of my genuine enquiries start with "hi" or just launch straight into the narrative.
