Anyone know where/what this painting/picture is?

Post by EdinburghCityApartments »

So, I have a guest who's just checked in after spending a week in Cambridge where she bought this painting.

She thinks it's of somewhere in the Lake District but really no idea...no names or anything.

Anyone got any idea?

Hopefully the picture will show up ok!

Looks a bit like Pooley Bridge, but not sure the background view is right.

I thought the same 7Aspire but house in background threw me.

(Very nice tea rooms at the end of the bridge).
It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.

I'll vouch for that - been there a few times; just mind your head on the beams......

WOW - totally wasn't expecting anyone to actually know where it was! VERY pleasantly surprised and I'll let the guests know!

Thanks very much!

Never heard of this bridge until I read this post a few weeks ago and here I am watching Long Lost Family on television and the missing family have their reunion on this bridge! It was her one childhood memory of where she last saw her brother. I recognised it instantly from the picture. How spooky.
