McAfee phone call scam

Not an enquiry scam but I am raising it here for your awareness.
I just took a phone call from someone claiming to be from McAfees security department claiming that my computer was infected by a dangerous virus and they would help me fix it. Its the same scam as the old "Microsoft technical department" wanting you to give them access to your computer.
Forewarned is forearmed, so they say.
