Everything to do with using your own website to advertise your rental property. Design, usability, hosting, getting listed on the search engines, optimising your site, pay-per-click, etc, etc.

Hi, We currently have 2 cottages we advertise through Sykes. We now have another 4 Holiday Lodges and although we've done well for bookings through sykes I'm refusing to pay the commission rates with the lodges and I am going it alone.

Im looking for ideas for places to advertise, I set up a speciality lodgings on TA but they want £720 to link it too my website!

I have a website and can take online bookings , I just need to get the traffic there in the first place! I'm planning a large facebook push once the website content is finalised.

I'm also on gumtree.

Does Owners Direct bring many bookings?

Anywhere else anyone can suggest?

I would say OD is on a downhill path but it's still working for some people. You won't know unless you try and experience of other people will be no measure for your own performance.

Looking at my current list, I'm on 19 sites in total plus my own website of course.
