Where do all the rubber bands come from and why do they seem to be proliferating? As soon as I get rid of one, another appears!
Has anyone else noticed this? Yes, the silly season has started!

Presents from the Post Office.
Posties use them to bundle envelopes together into batches, then discard the rubber bands in order to sub-divide and deliver the batches.

This is one of the mysteries of the universe; like what does gravity look like and why is milk white and not green and why is the fluff in your belly-button always a different colour to the sweater you are wearing. Are smaller rubber bands the offspring (spring get it!) of biggerer rubber bands and how can you tell the gender of a rubber band? Why do they always turn inside out on your wrist when you put them on the right way round - could be the gravity thing again I suppose.
