I bought my Vaio about five years ago (FX802) when it was a Sony flagship product. I was excited at first but the Vaio has proved to be less willing or able than I'd hoped. The cd writer has packed up, the sound has degenerated into a wheezy Dalek and it's slow. It's also big and heavy for a laptop (albeit with lots of features) and is only portable if you're really determined.
I guess that five years is forever in the world of laptops.

Well, answer d), in fact .....
An Asus 17", 3 / 250 GB, unbeatable in terms of price/performance. Not pink, though.... Life is such a compromise....
