Mauritius - anyone clued up?

Has anyone recent experience of villas / cottages in Mauritius or Rodrigues? Any leads on something sensible - not the flash stuff. I knew the island well years ago, but looks as though things have well changed.

I am planning to go this year either to Mauritius or Abu Dhabi with my girlfirend but don't know if your idea to rent villa is good.....although it might be nice, but I cannot be bothered to think of food and everything alse on my vacation.....I will probably choose some all inclusive holiday. My girlfriend is choosing between this mosaicholidays.co.uk/Country-Mauritius-Holidays_9.aspx and this mosaicholidays.co.uk/Country-Abu-Dhabi-Holidays_7.aspx ........But that is not villas, unless you change your mind......but I had a classmate from Mauritius and she said that it is quiet expensive place for holliday so that may include villas too
