Charges for pool cleaning?

Post by Bellywobble »

Our neighbours who rent out their villa, have asked if my son will take on their pool maintenance as their pool company has let them down.

He will visit once a week to hoover and check chemicals. A second visit to put chlorine tablets in, mid week and hoover if necessary and possibly extra visits if it has been very windy as the skimmers will be blocked with pine needles.

If he is not hoovering, a visit should only take him 15 mins max. With hoovering, an hour. They will supply chemicals as needed. There is no traveling involved, just a climb over the wall!

Can anyone suggest what he should be charging for this? He is 17 and has no experience but his Dad and I will be around to keep watch that he is doing it OK and step in if necessary.

My pool gets a full service (about 1.5 hours) every week - charged at €25 per hour (chemicals etc extra).
