B&B near Liverpool John Lennon airport

My student son is coming over for a Christmas visit & will be flying out of Liverppol airport on a 7 am-ish flight, so he needs to check in around 5-30am. I'm looking for a One night bed, it needen't include breakfast as he'll be leaving so early, close to the airport....... thought I'd ask here first on the off chance

(We're looking at a flight out on 23 December)

try the travel lodge at Widnes - they're usually good value and it's fairly close to the airport (look on the travel lodge website for location).

By the airport there is the Gateway Lodge and the Express Inn (I think) but both those will be more expensive I would think.
