I am viewing the site on IE6. Just out of interest, does it work OK on IE7?

By the way, I had a look at the browser statistics at http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp, and around 20% of visitors use IE6, so its a considerable number.

If IE7 is the most recent Microsoft browser, why don't people upgrade to it?

I bet is because as with most Windows upgrades it turns out to be rubbish. Like they issued SP3 for Windows XP and it seems you cannot upgrade the security on .NET. If we use I.E. then we also still use V6. I know we are Luddites!

If you usually use Firefox, there is a handy add-on for Firefox that allows you to "view the current page in IE" by simply right-clicking on the page and selecting the option to view in whatever version of IE you have on your computer. Also the same thing for Safari.

1. If you are having trouble developing for both IE and Firefox.
Use IE Conditional Commenting

2. Remove the phrase "Optimized for Firefox"

3. Add meaningful titles to other pages. Instead of Conciergerie 2009

4. Remove the Contact Tab or Add a proper contact page there instead

5. Maps

Text in the maps are not always legible and often difficult to read.

You may have to redraw those.

Hope this helps.

Thanks HenryG.

Firstly, that IE link doesn't work.

I will take everything else you've suggested on board, thanks, but why get rid of the Contact tab?

Thanks Martha, yes I've done that but the big problem is - do I tweak it for some browsers and then bugger it up for the others? I've come to a compromise with it which I believe is the best I can do.

Because it opens a mail client.

All tabs suggests they are pages you are clicking into.

The best way to show a link that is an email is to spell out the email address.

say: info@website.com

but: contact us

doesn't warn the visitor he is about to open Outlook (which he may not want to) instead.

Thanks. It might take me some time to sort that out.

I see what you mean about the contact tab. I may make a proper page with email and phone number etc.

Thanks again.
