Well all I've got snowdrop wise is a couple, but the dafs definitely are looking good. Am thinking of further ahead now, and what to put in for the summer. I have to be careful of stuff that will shed too many leaves/flowers that would end up in the pool. Any suggestions?

Our gardener is great at planting veg, which is great because we give lots to guests, but a bit of colour would be nice too.

Sorry, can't help you there! My favourite is hibiscus and not because they have lots of colour and single/double flowers and flower most of the year; in fact I have one that flowers all 12 months without a pause! I also have a white flowered scented hibiscus which I nurture with great care! It flowers from August thru' to January.

I just love 'em!

Will they send flowers and leaves into the pool though? If not may try some.

They don't drop their leaves except in the winter, the flowers once dead drop off though; the flowers last a day then close, die and drop within a week to 10 days.

Good Luck TOG!

We've got lots round our pool with no problems. I love them too - they are really easy to care for and self seed.

Enid, when you return from Oz, give us some ideas on what they plant there. I love experimenting :!:

I would imagine the late winter/spring is ideal, but I planted 2 in mid-summer with no problem.........

I buy the ones in pots and just put them into the ground.

Really easy care and low maintenance TOG :!:

Yes, if you are not exposed to strong March winds; otherwise wait till April.

We have got quite a lot of strong northerly winds at the moment, so I'll wait a while
