Although most of Cyprus seems to have been re-mapped, most of the east section in May 2008, the lower east section covering Paralimni, Protaras and down to just west of Ayia Napa has been missed. It is still showing Sept 2003, very much out of date. Does anyone know why this would be?

Maybe it's got something to do with Varosha?

Or the devastation caused by excessive property developments?

It is done in strips that are subsequently "stitched" together.

The photos from the satellite are in much better detail than those that arrive on Google Earth.

So, either the satellite hasn't passed your strip recently, or it was cloudy ?
