Health cover in the Channel Islands

Post by Mountain Goat »

Are they in the UK? Not sure, but from another forum:

The reciprocal arrangements between health authorities on the British mainland and those on Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Sark and Herm came to an end on the last day of March 2009, meaning that all British visitors will have to pay for their treatment if they become ill while visiting the islands.

The Department of Health confirmed that travellers to the Channel Islands are not covered by the European Health Insurance Card (Ehic), which entitles residents of EU member states to free and cut-price health care in other EU countries.

Likewise, CI residents are no longer entitled to use the UK NHS.

Yes part of UK but all change on the health issue few weeks ago.
It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.
