Post by Big Sis.. »

''Swiss villagers who prayed for centuries for a glacier to stop expanding are seeking permission from the Vatican to pray instead for the ice flow to stop receding as a result of climate change''.

I don't get it: centuries of prayer, and they got a result; now they're changing their mind? Hasn't God more important things on her mind?

The Aletsch glacier is not far from us. A breath-taking place to visit - can highly recommend it.

Thanks, Beanie, will add it to our notes.

On the same theme, and maybe the same Vatican dept. for snow and ice affairs, would it be worth an effort by chalet owners and other interested parties to put in a request for decent snow this coming season? How do these things work? A contribution to Vatican coffers?
