I'm interested in finding out what percentage of forum members bookings come from paid online listings vs other sources ( repeats, friends, your own web site etc.)

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

A little more than 50% of my bookings are from returners, recommendations and word-of-mouth.

A little less than 50% of my bookings are from paid-for Rental Sites, one of which also has a printed brochure.

For our 3-bedroom rental house (second year of renting):
60% from our website/adwords
17% holiday-rentals
14% vrbo
9% other (referrals, friends, other sites*)
2005 Occupancy = 49%, based upon 365 rental days

For one of our 1-bedroom apartments (new May 2005):
88% from our website
12% holiday-rentals
2005 Occupancy = 50%

*Seriously underperforming "other sites" include vacationvillas.net, internationalrentals, greatrentals, perfectplaces, vrconnection, inn26

Interesting question. Look forward to seeing more responses.

My rental starts in January. I have had 6 enquiries, 3 from the same paid site (chaletsdirect.com). 1 of these is now a booking.
One booking from Homelidays (French), and 2 direct from my website.
