Question about self assessment

Post by shamac »

Do I need the accountant to do my self assessment for our holiday let-which is in the UK? I don't have any other income (although husbands tax affairs are quite complicated-he pays tax in Norway) and have good receipts/records etc -can i do it myself? When is it due to be submitted? Any links to good info would be great
thank you
Sharon

I've always done ours myself, and there are four of us in the family to do it for. You can do it on line and it is really easy to do.

www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefit ... DG_4017930

Useful info on above link.

Paper returns to be in by 31 Oct. On-line returns by 31 Jan.

We use an accountant as have 4 sets of accounts to submit.
It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.
