If someone form Germany is trying to pay you via bank transfer they will need your BIC number, sometimes also called SWIFT or SWIFT/BIC (8 characters) as well as your IBAN (all 22 characters). These numbers usually appear on your printed bank statements.
I have sometimes found that German banks also require your bank name and address.

Actually I think e-Richard refers to the bank's branch address.ccazes wrote:I agree about giving your address. My bank always asks for the address associated with the account. I think it is an extra safeguard against the wire going into the wrong bank account.
