Is there a French caller ID?

Post by Tizfata »

Hello.
Yesterday I receive a call from France.
He -Halo? Je suis M. Prprprpr.
Me -Bonsoir...
He made a generic question about his future stay at one of my apartments. I forgot (I panicked with my French, possibily:oops:) to ask him again about his name. The area code is 950. Or is that a mobile? Is there a way of knowing a caller ID if you have the number?
Thank you for any help...
I just found out that +33 95 is from Corsica... Maybe they are there for another holiday, as I don't have any future (nor previous) guests from there

If you go to pagesblanches.fr, there is a section "a qui est cette numero" - just enter the phone number, and assuming it isn't on the liste rouge (ex-directory), or it's an extension number from an office switchboard, it should come up with the person's name and address. I find it works about 6 times out of 10, so not infallible, but worth a try.

Sorry, just reread the OP - 09 numbers in France are simply those people who have an orange subscription and use the internet phone service so impossible to pinpoint which area they come from.

Tizfata,

its not a mobile,

in france when we have orange internet subscriptions we get an internet phone with it, they all start with 09 so it could be any where in france.

Oh, thank Pete!
We don't have Orange here, so I did not know.
Thank you all again!
