I have used the xml-sitemaps tool posted by casasantoestevo in the past, but it isn't entirely free - you do have to pay ($20 I think) if your site generates more than 500 pages.

For my wordpress developments I tend to use http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wo ... generator/ which can be configured up to automatically push changed content at search engines.
