Where to look to find Uk holiday cottage?

Post by Circé »

I've just been asked by a French friend 'where's the best place to look for a holiday cottage in England?'
Any recommendations for easy-to-use listing sites for folk whose first language isn't English would be much appreciated.
They have two young kids, and would like to visit London yet be in the country, so I was thinking of Surrey/Sussex or similar.
Also if you have any accommodation which might suit please pm me and I'll pass on the info.
Thanks in advance!

My other company runs http://www.ukcottage.com which lists self-catering all over the UK. Some from agencies, some direct advertisers.

I don't think you need much knowledge of English to get around the site. It's really a case of clicking on the region, and then clicking on a city/town/village.

Thereafter, some knowledge would help to read the descriptions but Google Translate can probably help with that...

Although I am not the greatest fan of them, it might be worth taking a look at:

No web-site for now.

Holidaylettings and http://www.webcottages.co.uk/ are a good place to start.
