How much should I budget for marketing and where?

My villa in the South of France, Languedoc Roussillion, near Ceret will be ready soon. I have started my website http://www.catalanvilla.info. But am wondering as this is the first time I have ever rented out a holiday home how much I should expect to spend so the my villa is rent out as much as possible. Who have you found the best? Paolo has an excellent article or two about this in his newsletters, accessible from the main www.laymyhat.com page.

There is no easy answer because much depends upon your location, your type of home and the visitors you hope to attract. But Paolo's articles will give you a good deal to think about and plenty of research hints.

You will also find many, many posts about this same subject in the forum as you keep reading. Everyone has their favorites and the more you read, the more you will learn. (And the more confused you may become!
