Euro Cheque

Post by nichthewood »

Have done a search for this topic but not had any success.
We are being charges 20 odd euro to deposit a Irish euro cheque for 85 euro into our French Banque Popular account. The RBoS what £6 to clear it in the UK but it will take 6 weeks!!! HSBC cant even tell me how long theres take to clear!
As this is a deposit cheque we can't wait that long or until we have several to bank at one time. Has anyone any ideas on a cheaper or quicker way?
We are thinking that it might change to only accepting bank transfers next season ?

We only take bank transfers (or CC) for reservations. You have to give IBAN (swift for Americans) number; address of bank; and account number plus name of account.
It can take a few days sometimes it depends on your own the banks used. There should be no charges ---as per EU regulations.

Unless you have a UK (pounds) bank account that is.
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
