Hello!
We have emptied and painted our pool. It would be preferable to us to have no chlorin. We can not afford to have a our pool turned into a natural oasis. So we are wondering about products such as Aquasmarter and Saltsystems which use very low amounts or no chlorine. Does anyone have experience/comments/advise with these products they would like to share.
Thanks, aasta
Looking for alternative to cholrine and other nasty chemical
We use a salt system in two of our pools. The water is nice to swim in and the system works well as long as it doesn't get too hot (much above 30 C and the algae starts to take control).
It does require alot of pH testing to get the balance right though, and the system itself is quite expensive. We have heated pools so the heat exchanger has to be titanium to cope with the salt water.
