I know you've all had variations on this theme.

The email address given is the guy's name, followed by a number, at talktalk.net. I suppose he's mistyped something but I'm blowed if I know what.

Is there anything I can do?

Facebook? Helps if it's an uncommon mix of names, John Smith won't help

It's not far from John Smith......

I'd be mad to try to send my reply to all the variations of his address (with added dots and dashes that he might have forgotten) wouldn't I?

He's never going to know that he's typed his wrong own address is he?

arrrggghhhhhh It's a good enquiry too.

When I had exactly that scenario a few weeks ago, tavi (I posted about it here too), the enquirer phoned me a couple of days later. Fingers crossed that your guy will do the same!

Thanks FC, hope he does - missed your thread re that.

Last time something similar happened it was simply that the enquirer had missed the "m" off the .com at the end ...so that was pretty easy to guess. Looking at this guy's address - the correct version could be blinking anything.

so really, there is nothing anyone can do. sooooo annoying.

am now thinking listing sites should request enquirers to type their addresses twice...that would maybe help weed out a few errors.

All my " enquiries" from Pure were bounced back as not delivered when I tried to contact. Most came from yahoo mail . I am convinced they were all bogus.
If you can keep your head when all around you are panicking.......you have probably not seen the whole picture.

Wash your mouth out, I'm sure they are as Pure as the driven snow and wouldn't stoop so low

How shall I put this.

Methinks Pure could crawl under a snake's belly without the reptile noticing.

Yup, that is about right.
