Paolo,

In January I am going to download the trial versions of various floorplans programs and see what they are like. I'll publish the results here if I can work them.

Did you find time to do this? Wink

I shall certainly be getting one done, it's already started infact (using visio).

Only worry is giving too much information to would-be intruders but that's just me being paranoid!

I will post it up here when its done if you like.

Yes, I woudl also be intrigued to hear how you got on Paulo. I did actually download a few of those suggested programs, but found the learning curve was steeper than the end product warranted. i.e. I only wanted a quick floor plan, I'm not doing major renovations.

Anyway, I gave up and just drew it all freehand - roughly to scale, using PowerPoint as it happens, and some bits from my own image library approximately resized in PaintShop.

Judge for yourselves, and feel free to comment.

I think it is very good, and in full colour too! What more could one ask for?

Laughing The intention was there, but I didn't get the time, and when I realised I would have to go and measure up every room in quite a big house, I got was overcome with laziness.

I think e-richard's is excellent.

Just butting in here if no-one minds.

As a tenant, floorplans are less important to me than pictures of the house/apartment and the views from it. I'm always sucked in by pics that show that the lounge looks comfy and the terrace has great views. Floorplans are icing on the cake.

That said, I've noticed that quite a few people letting property seem to use the floorplan provided by the developer (assuming they're in a development of course), and very clever people have floorplans on which you can click and get a view of that part of the apartment. I have to say that's rather nice.

However, I do think that e-richard's one is very nice, and Joanne's is perfectly adequate (Joanne, you don't need one, your site makes me drool without it!).

Anyway, that's my twopennorth. I do like this site. I only found it a few days ago and now I'm getting carpel tunnel syndrome! I've learned so much in that short time. I hope to be able to share my own experiences next year.

Pauline
