OwnersDirect is great, & Holidaylettings brilliant but..

OTA = Online Travel Agency, which means those sites that sell the booking and take the payment for you.

Nice booking in the first two weeks and #6 on Google for 'Swiss chalet rental' (not as a phrase) with OwnersDirect.

#7 with info-france (shared listing) and #5 with holidaylettings (unique).

#1 with 'swiss apartment rental' on holidaylettings. Their SEO is so good, but the conversion to bookings remains elusive.

Two bookings with Owners Direct since i listed in mid-August, one Summer booking with Holiday Lettings, and several enquiries that I couldn't accept.

Thanks for this Mountain & Helen, :D :D

It made me check my bookings last year & this.

Im on quite a few websites and thought I had an idea which ones were delivering.

I was wrong. The ones Ive thought Id done well on dont seem to be delivering :?
[Lots of Enq but no bookings]
I had no bookings at all last year[wont be renewing]on one site.Really surprised.thought it had done ok.

Others that i didnt think had done well had few enq but lots of bookings. :)

Thanks again maybe other forum users should have a look as well :)

It takes me back, to something I posted today about telling if emails are genuine or do some unscrupulous websites send bogus emails?????

Ros
we have a house in southern Spain and would be interested in which site you found a waste of time and won't be renewing. We have just started up so keen not to waste money. PM me if you don't want to say on the forum.
Grateful for any advice.
Thanks.
