English Tourism Week 2015

Post by Nemo »

I just stumbled across the fact that English Tourism Week is 14th to 22nd March, promoted by Visit England.

I went searching for events for Norfolk that I could promote on social media, to find that there are zero events being promoted. :(

Any other areas had more luck or is it yet another waste of money by a quango?

I think there's a free guided walk around Penrith on a theme of Richard lll on March 20th. Shall I put your name down?

Nothing like planning well ahead
Some guests just need a sympathetic pat. On the head. With a hammer.

Evidently in Bournemouth there's going to be late night opening in Tesco's to celebrate it!

Well I googled events in Berkshire and all I could find was some local food tasting and produce displays at a local museum. But that was for last year's Tourism Week!

Glad to see Berkshire really pushes the boat out too. Can't wait for the surge in bookings after so much promotion.

Had a meeting today with someone from the Yorkshire Tourist Board and guess what? He knew nothing about English Tourism Week!
Good to know there is joined up thinking and good communications going on at a senior and strategic level!

I've seen a few posts on Twitter for various parts of the country who have organised themselves better than others (including our part!)
So much to learn....so little time!
