We had the honour of a visit by Queen Julianna and her sidekick, the Princess (can't remember the name). Two 'drag' Queens that were strutting their stuff for one night only in a bar in the town.

Should I ask for a plaque to be placed above the front door - 'By Royal Appointment'?

I had another one from a lady from Cote d'Ivoire this morning. Goat, how many of yours come via Slowtrav, as all of mine over the last three months have.

I've never had a scam through slowtrav - that's interesting.

No, this one was 100% kosher Nigerian - details below for the enthusiast (via their satellite? ISP in Beirut). Maybe someone can get more info out of all that stuff?

In fact, Elie Dib (for it is he), googled with 'Lagos' seems to be a busy lad, involved in lotteries, Forex scams, and all the stuff we're used to getting. Leaving out 'Lagos' in the search, it appears to be a Lebanese name. I know there are many Lebanese traders in Lagos, so it sort of ties together.

all my scams seem to come through slowtravel...and never a genuine enquiry...I keep thinking of writing to them about it...having said that they do at least send follow up emails saying to ignore the scam so at least they are checking...

Garlic, strange isn't it, I haven't had one genuine enquiry, and all but one of the others were scams. The other one was a message from Mountain Goat, when LMH was offline a while back.
I forwarded my latest scam onto them on Thursday or Friday.

I have had one or two enquiries from slowtrav but wouldn't really expect any as they link to my own website, and the enquiry will come through that. They do send a good number of visitors to my site though and that should figure in how you measure their effectiveness.

garlic's website

Post by Topcat »

Garlic, I know you were only joking really, and I also know this isn't really the right thread for this, but I've just spent some time on your website, which I think is fab. Now partly that's because i am an animal lover and desperately want to come and play with your llamas, but it's also because it's very attractive and informative.

I know there's been some discussion about whether or not to put photos of your children and animals on the site, but I think it's clear that that's all part of what you're selling.

Gosh, if I'd known about this site and all the wonderful places on it before we decided to buy, I might have just spent the money touring Lay my Hat! Less hassle!

Best,

All my recent scams seem to have come via craigslist.. I put one ad on about a month ago and am still getting intermittent enquiries in bad english from people who 'Want my house' but have no plans of when.. would I get back to them with availability and costs etc.....
