Paying for the Extras on Rental Sites

Most rental sites offer some extras that one can pay to use. What are the general opinions on what's worth it, and what's not?

I personally think paying for extra photos is well worth it.

We also paid a bit extra to advertise on the "long winter lets" section of French Connections, but only saw one inquiry from it that didn't pan out.

What about the various "featured property" options that most sites have? I know there's a waiting list, but I've never tried it. Has anyone else tried it -- and if so, how were the results?

I haven't tried the 'Featured Proeprty' type extras, but I do think paying extra for more pics is well worth it. As long as the extra pics are not 'diluting' the impact, it is worth the extra money to stand out from the competition. Of course I don't have any measurable stats on that, it's just my impression.
