Facebook site for Italian holidays

Post by ianthy »

Hi

I just tried to join a site on FB where owners can advertise their properties directly. Bad news is that the site is only for UK and French properties. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bookholidaysdirect/

There is also a site for Spanish properties too.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/8990403 ... ts&fref=ts

Plus a site for property owners that will accommodate dogs. with 25,000 members.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/dogfriendlyholidays/

This proves that social media is very important to how to market and secure bookings.

Would anyone be interested in helping set up a site for Italian holidays on FB? I think we could do something similar to the Holidays Direct site for France and UK.

Let me know your thoughts..

I'd say it's simple enough to set up on your own ianthy and then recruit admin once you're off the ground, so don't be put off starting one yourself if needs be. Just create albums with areas as owners join and the need arises.

A few simple rules, which will get longer and longer the more members you recruit. With 25K members in the dog group now we are regularly having to come up with new rules to keep them all in check and things running smoothly!

The dog friendly one is brilliant - I have only recently started using it, but had a couple of bookings already.

It is hard work and I've learnt to be quite selective about what posts to respond to etc. But if all it costs is a little bit of time then it's worth it.

I'll have to take a look at how the FB sites are set up. I am a member of the Spanish one can't really see how any prospective holidaymaker would find anything on there as it's a bit chaotic.

Thks Casscat.

I have a sense that properties need to be easily found and filing by region/location could be easiest. I am going to do a bit of research over the next week or so before doing anything. As a disorganised FB is of no use to prospective guests or property owners.
