Intro thread for new joiners?

Post by Gordo »

Hello to one and all. Only just came across this forum and keen to share knowledge and experience and learn from others along the way - none of us is as smart as all of us...

Many forums choose to use an introduction thread as a starting point for newbies but I don't see one here?

If anyone can point me to the right place that would be grand or else any suggestions on the best way to jump in and get involved?

Thanks in anticipation.. Pat

Hello Gordo/Pat and welcome to LMH. I thought there was one but I must have imagined it! I suppose you could 'walk' into the cafe instead?

However, my advice would be to jump right in and ask your questions with a thread of your own (in the appropriate section) or offer your words of wisdom on the appropriate threads. Just by posting here you are now involved! :D

Most just come and ask for a website review or which site is best to advertise with :P

Seriously though, there are a few sticky threads but they are becoming a bit obsolete. Just jump in to anything you like and you'll find people very friendly here.

Welcome to LMH!

I could have sworn there was one too! Very odd. Welcome to LMH Pat, the Starting Out section might be the place to start, if you are just starting out that is....

Hi Gordo and Welcome,

When I joined I just jumped in where I was...couldn't be bothered to post on the introductions thread - I'm not that interesting!

(yes, I think there was an introductions thread but it seems to have gone)

Friendly, helpful bunch here - you'll find lots of support :D

If you look at the topic headings in the Cafe, there is a "sticky" at the top called "Round of introductions".

I think that's what you are all looking for.

Yes, its at a second level down, so perhaps not as easily found by newbies (and, it appears some long-in-the-toothies too  )

For those of us not of "a certain age" the New Seekers was a pop singing group in the 1960's ! Really good singers and songs as I remember.

Glad you have joined us Gordo and welcome.
