The other side of the coin

I know there have been discussions previously about scammers offering bogus houses to rent, and its still an area that concerns me. One day they will try it on in a bigger way, and make our lives misery. But thats not what I wanted to write about.

What I thought I would bring up is a forum discussion "from the other side" by punters and their concerns when booking rentals.

These sort of forums are really worth reading (lurking) to get some flavour of what and how they, the punters, think and behave. In this particular thread, I found it quite interesting that the folks felt that they are renting their apartment from "Owners Direct", rather than from Owners directly. The concept of the buying from a Holiday Company permeates into the Rental Listing Site (hence my posting in this area of LMH).

Good or bad ? Does it matter ?
