So our builder is really keen not to install sliding doors at the new house meaning we're looking for small (2 foot 6) guest beds with trundles underneath.
Despite lots of time scouring the internet earlier we're not finding much. Ideally something like https://theoakbedstore.co.uk/products/h ... all-single but in stock... any bright ideas?
2'6 (small) single guest beds
John Lewis has one, a bit plain but fits the description I think:

A couple of others too, same appearance but more expensive mattresses.

Another one on the John Lewis website with solid oak frame

Having gone through the same search for a wood frame small single with trundle with no joy, I ended up getting the John Lewis one mentioned above. It is very plain but very neat and takes up even less room as there is no wooden bed stead at the foot of the bed. I went for the cheaper mattress option but did try the more expensive mattress in the showroom and they are worth paying the extra if you're not on a budget!
I have the John Lewis one with the better mattressessers and it works really well. Don't forget that you will also require the smaller fitted sheets for the slide out bed - mark them with an indelibbuble pen so they don't get mixed up with the biggerer single bed fitted sheets that would look stupid hanging over the end of the bed!

Funnily enough, just today one of the clips that you push in to fold the legs in fell off (first time I used it). They're not welded on very well at all so not surprising. I'll be ringing John Lewis first thing on Monday.... hopefully its not a weak point as had seen on a review that the same thing had happened to somebody else.
