Hi
We went yesterday to view a property, unfortunately it was not right for us, we have spent hours searching rightmove, zoopla, on the market.com, holiday cottages have a for sale section, can anyone recommend any other sites so we can find one suitable for us

Thanks

Does it have to be an existing holiday let? You'll have much more choice if you look at all property for sale.

There are a few at www.holidayletsforsale.com along with quite a bit of useful advice.

But, strangely, there appears to no national heavyweight web site, to my knowledge, that is dedicated to this activity.

I would echo Cymraes. Why restrict yourself to just holiday cottages? With properties that have planning restrictions so that they can only be marketed or occupied as holiday lets, their capital growth can be suppressed as a result. Look at the housing market as a whole and then just check that there isn't a covenant or such like preventing them being used as a holiday property.
