Insuring our holiday let (converted garage) on our property

Post by WightGirl »

We have converted an unused garage and extended it to create a holiday cottage and building work is now complete. The garage is on our property/land but we are not able to extend/amend our current insurance with M&S to include the holiday cottage.

Searching on the internet has just brought up insurers who do holiday let insurance for independent properties. Has anyone else had this situation and can you recommend an insurer to cover both properties?

Thanks

We did the same thing with our converted garage and use Instasure for it but not the home insurance.
So much to learn....so little time!
