Risk assessments

Post by Littlegem »

Hi,
Not meaning to be cheeky and not sure if this is allowed but could anyone possibly let me have a peek at their health and safety risk assessment and fire risk assessment, I’ve got templates for both ready to fill in but I’m struggling a bit with what to put on them and can’t find any good examples online of ones for self catering holiday properties. I’ve walked round the house 3 times and still only got minimal things listed on each, I think if I could see completed ones it would help me to see the kind of things I should be listing and how to word it etc. In return I have a good, easy to use portable electrical appliance inspection log if anyone does this themselves as an alternative to PAT testing and would like a good template to use.
Thanks

Hi Little Gem

I have the same questions as you, wondering if you could pass on Littlegems comments.

Hi Sorry, Thank you for your time. I am not used to this and can not see the PM, I clicked on the email link sent to me, which goes to the thread which says you have PM'd me but no PM, I have got to my messages and there is nothing new? any suggestions?

Thanks Again.

Fire certificate

Post by crocko »

At what level do I need a fire certificate? Does anyone know.
I have a cottage, 2 static caravans and 2 glamping pods.

Thanks

Unless it’s different in Wales, Fire Certificates are no longer issued and haven’t been for some years.
The responsibility is with the owner to have a full Fire Risk Assessment in place and keep it up to date.

The responsibility applies to any guest accommodation.

See this government publication which is essential for every rental owner or accommodation provider:

RISK assessment and fire risk assessment

Many Thanks

Nice to get it concise, people and web searches still keep mentioning "Fire Certification" Not a nice clear statement, so I was wondering if there were two tiers that apply to larger business.
Nice to know I have things in place.

Thanks again.
