Holiday let for 2-3 months = licence?

Post by Stuart41 »

Hi,
We are registered with Portuguese authority's for short term lets (AL), but have recently had an enquiry from UK couple looking to rent our apartment for 3 months next winter.

Does anyone know what licence (if any) we need to rent out for this period of time please?

Regards

Stuart

Given that the Portuguese tax year runs Jan-Dec, then you should be taking a booking up until Dec 31st and then another booking from Jan 1.

This is NOT official formal knowledgeable supportable advice, but it sort of makes sense to me

As I would see it, it's the same as any other holiday let unless you change the product/service mix so significantly that it obviously becomes something else.

AL license is for stays of 30 days or less.
