Costs for pool and garden maintenance on your rental

Post by joddle »

I was wondering what people are paying these day for their pool and garden maintenance. We have a 3.5m by 7.5m pool set in a garden of about 1100sqM which is around 65% terrace or gravel with a number of beds of shrubs and small trees in the rest. Some ball park figures would be most helpful.

£125 a month throughout the year. That's for two pools (ours get done as well), but no gardening.

Similar property to yours except there is about one third given over to flowering things like roses and other bushes, pool on regular maintenance, garden on ad hoc visits 4 or 5 times a year, total costs around Euros 1600 per year.

Many thanks for that - Very interesting a way below what I have been quoted. Will have to dig around more.

Neighbours pay €100 a month for pool maintenance, 2 visits a week in summer 1 in winter.
I pay local gardeners 7/8 €s an hour as needed. The garden centres charge 12/15 €s an hour.

Indeed, mine charges € 20! She's good though, and works ever so hard.
