Cleaning/Caretaking packages

Post by Marura »

We are thinking about letting a management company take over the running of our holiday home and we were wondering what they charge for cleaning/caretaking of the property?
If anyone has any knowledge or experience we would be extremely grateful for any tips and advice.
Thanks :)

Hi Marura
Costs usually depend upon local market forces. We can’t tell from your post which country you are in. If you could please tell us and give us the actual area of your property people will be able to reply.

You need to specify the scope of work for the managenebt company. Does it include marketing and managing bookings, guest liaison and support, as well as cleaning?

If it does expect to pay upwards of 30% of your income but be very careful about mutual incentives, how they are incentivised to maximise bookings and revenue in low season.

From their point of view £300 for a week in November may not be worth the bother but it matters to you.
