State of emergency

Post by costa-brava »

As of today we are in full lockdown. We can only go out for food or medicine or to go to work.
This is going to be the worst year ever for holiday lets. Owners need to contemplate the likelihood of near zero bookings. And meanwhile there will still be the costs (perhaps even more)
Maintaining swimming pools and watering gardens will be an ongoing problem.
Watch out for scammers who say they sent you money and want it back. I got that during the bank crisis.
Keep on top of all tax documentation. The Spanish tax man makes the British one look like a nice guy. I've got that T-shirt too.
As I suggested in another post, I'm fairly sure that the Brexit changes will kick in and tax will go up to 24%.
Who knows where or when it's going to come back to normal?
