TV licence refund for lockdown

Post by Joanna »

Anyone tried to get a refund on their holiday let TV licence for the lockdown period? I just emailed TV licencing to ask the question but I think it could be a while before I get a reply from them.

No, but would be interested to hear how you get on.

Don`t think we will try that one as our home tv licence is covered by the holiday let :)

Well I've just received a refund claim form from TV licencing so I'll fill it in and let you know how I get on.

Yes finally! We applied in June and they made payment this week.

Endless threatening emails in the interim about how it's illegal to watch broadcast TV without one.

If I could ditch the TV in the cottage I would.

We got about £35 credited to our account from TV Licencing. Not sure if that's the right amount but to be honest it's more than I was expecting!
