Can't offer any advice on retrieving, sorry (hit a Firefox forum?), but I think I can recommend how to guard against future probs. - was immersed in Garri's excellent holidaypad and top right on the home page is a link to:
del.icio.us
What a gem, and I suppose you lot know about it already, but as far as I can see, having registered with this outfit, all your bookmarks, from all your different browsers, from any computer you use, can be uploaded to one site. You can then access your bookmarks (tags?) from anywhere, keep them private, share them etc. It is seriously useful, and I'm only just beginning to realise how this is going to transform my 'net activities.
