Have sent someone a pm that isn't showing in my Sentbox, this was a few hours ago, should it take this long to register? Have just sent it again and that one doesn't show either..........

Hi Kathy
I used to get confused about that...I think it sits theyre until the recipient logs in[so you dont think theyve received it when they havent I spose]
also theyre is something on here that you can set that doesnt allow pms to be sent if you dont want any...could that be another reason
Anyway Im sulking now cos I never got one

PMs stay in your Outbox till they are opened by the recipient, when they move to the Sentbox. This way you know if the PM has been received or not, and you can also go back and change your message until it is read. Useful if you have made an ill-advised declaration of love, or similar.

Wouldn't that be useful with ordinary e-mail??
I've also been intrigued with a Google Ad which is plugging e-mail which self-destructs after being read. That would have its uses as well - great for Valentines.
Trouble is, their website (www.readnotify.com) seems to self-destruct before you can get to it.
Having laughed at this outfit, they've got some seriously interesting features - I'm posting it in Workshop - it's worth looking at.
